IPAA Victoria’s Leadership in the Public Sector Awards honour the excellence and innovation of teams and organisations of all three levels of government in Victoria – Commonwealth, State and Local.
The theme of the 2022 awards was ‘Innovation, inspiration, impact. Recognising exceptional design and delivery across the Public Sector’. We celebrated the broad work of the sector that significantly impacts the community, both now and in the future.

Award categories
The Leadership in the Public Sector Award categories aim to celebrate the broad work of the sector that has a significant impact on the community, both now and into the future.

Award Eligibility
- Nominations can be submitted by any employee delivering government services in Victoria including all Local, State, Commonwealth organisations.
- Nominations can include projects, policies, partnerships, reforms, regulations, strategies, campaigns, programs, continuous improvement initiatives, etc.
- Nominations may be made for new, short-term, or long-term initiatives/responses as long as the criteria are addressed.
- IPAA Victoria recognises many initiatives are the result of collaborations and partnerships. Where appropriate, IPAA Victoria encourages collaborators and partners to submit a shared nomination, provided other conditions of entry are met.
- There is no limit to the number of nominations from an organisation. However a specific initiative may only be nominated once, in one category, in any given year. Unsuccessful nominations may be resubmitted in subsequent years.
