The Institute of Public Administration Australia (Victorian Division) Inc, (IPAA Victoria) operates under the Associations Incorporation Reform Act (2012). The Constitution enshrines the principles under which the Institute operates.
A full review of the IPAA Victoria Constitution was conducted and the proposed changes were adopted at the 2018 Annual General Meeting. The amendments provide clarity in the expression of language and terminology and appropriately reference provisions.
The Constitution reflects the revised Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012 (Act), including amendments of 1 November 2017, which referenced 23 scheduled items with which all incorporated associations are required to comply.
IPAA Victoria has undergone significant changes, particularly in relation to its mission, vision and strategic focus, which have evolved over time, given the ever-changing public sector landscape. Changes have been made to ensure IPAA Victoria keeps pace with and remains relevant to its members.
