Leadership Development: Concepts and Practices

IPAA Victoria’s 2020 People and Culture Community of Practice survey identified leadership development as the topic that is seen as most valuable to members’ work and career.

This seminar provides an overview of the field and assists participants to hone their skills in diagnosing client issues and defining an intervention to address those issues. It will provide a conceptual model to frame leadership development.

The seminar will cover the range of relevant methodologies, nominate adult learning principles and assist participants to apply these principles in selecting an appropriate approach.

Learn how to respond constructively and assertively to presenting issues hampering organisational effectiveness by:

• understanding a conceptual framework within which to locate the solutions
• describing the range of potential interventions
• exploring adult learning principles to assist in selecting the best in interventions.
