IPAA Victoria’s International Women’s Day Gala 2025 celebrates the theme ‘Marching Forward for Women’s Health’ to shine a spotlight on exceptional women leaders.
To mark International Women’s Day (8 March), IPAA Victoria will celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of women in the public sector while providing a platform to address the ongoing issues and barriers surrounding women’s health. This year’s United Nations International Woman’s Day (IWD) theme, ‘March Forward’, will guide the discussion and inspire action for positive change.
Thirty years ago, the world embraced a bold vision for gender equality through the United Nations’ Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. Since then, women have broken barriers, reshaped policies, and sparked global movements. Yet, despite these advancements, the promises made remain unfulfilled for millions of women worldwide. We have not achieved the progress envisioned. Now is the time to transform promises into action and make real progress.
As one of the most celebrated events in the public purpose sector, this year’s eminent speakers, who are leaders and innovators in their respective fields, will reflect on key achievements and explore the path ahead. Our theme, ‘Marching Forward for Women’s Health’, will shine a spotlight on women in our sector while providing a platform to discuss the persistent challenges and barriers surrounding women’s health. This is an opportunity to reflect on progress, share insights, and inspire meaningful change.
IPAA Victoria is delighted to announce keynote speaker Professor Shelley Dolan, Royal Melbourne Hospital Chief Executive Officer and IPAA Victoria Top 50 Public Women recipient. Professor Dolan brings a wealth of experience and a passion for women’s health advocacy. She will share her wisdom, reflections and experiences advocating for women’s health, exploring what has changed and what challenges have remained.
