IPAA Victoria’s Leadership in the Public Sector Awards shortlist revealed and People’s Choice Award is now open

The Leadership in the Public Sector Awards has returned in 2023 and IPAA Victoria is delighted to announce 40 finalists across nine diverse award categories and one special commendation.

For the first time, IPAA Victoria is running a People’s Choice Award and this is now open for voting. We are inviting all Victorians, including our public sector workers, to have their say and vote for their favourite project.

As one of the highest honours bestowed to organisations and teams at all levels of government – Commonwealth, State and Local – in Victoria, the Leadership Awards acknowledge and celebrate the best of innovation, inspiration and positive impact for the community.

This year’s finalists showcase the range and variety of work undertaken at various levels of government and to deliver meaningful and real benefits to Victorians across the state.

‘The calibre of this year’s nominations reflects the excellence of work by teams large and small, often unsung and unseen, across Victoria. These finalists give us insight into the many public sector projects and programs to support our community, ' says Jennifer Wolcott, Awards Committee Chair and Board Member, IPAA Victoria.

The People’s Choice Award allows peer recognition from professionals within the sector and the general public to recognise exceptional projects or initiatives. The nominee who receives the highest number of valid votes will be the winner of the inaugural People's Choice Award.

The award winners will be presented at IPAA Victoria’s awards ceremony on Thursday 22 June 2023 at Zinc at Federation Square.
