Overview
What happens in the first 100 days after an election?
For many Victorian public servants who have joined the sector since 2022, this will be their first time navigating the weeks and months following a state election.
This webinar will move beyond theory to explore what the post-election period looks like in practice. Experienced speakers will discuss how ministerial offices are established, how priorities emerge, what machinery-of-government changes can mean for agencies, and how to build effective working relationships with new or returning offices.
The webinar will also cover practical challenges including preparing briefings, responding to changing priorities and maintaining continuity of services.
Held on the Thursday before the election, the webinar will help public servants prepare for what may come next, whether there is a change of government or a returning government with new priorities.
It builds on IPAA Victoria’s 2022 webinar, while considering the changed environment facing the sector today, including AI adoption and digital reform.
