The First 100 Days: What to expect of an incoming government

John Merritt has successfully led large and complex organisations for over twenty years.  He was the Chair of the Board of WorkSafe Victoria, the Chief Executive of VicRoads, and the Chief Executive of the Environment Protection Authority. He was also the Chief Executive of the National Safety Council of Australia and held senior management roles in the Fletcher Challenge organisation. Today, John is a Non-Executive Director, and an advisor and popular public speaker on leadership, culture and strategy.

Susan Middeditch, Deputy Secretary, Corporate and Regulatory Services, Victoria Police, career spans more than 25 years with NZ Treasury, Queensland Health (Deputy Director-General of Corporate Services Division and Chief Executive at Health Support Queensland) and the Department of Premier and Cabinet in Victoria (Executive Director of Corporate Services). Susan is accomplished in delivering exceptional corporate services in complex, ambiguous and multi-faceted settings and is considered an expert in corporate governance.

Elizabeth brings 30 years’ experience at international, national and state levels, having successfully led complex and high-profile public sector initiatives and agencies in Australia and overseas through collaboration, advocacy, strong planning acumen, proven stakeholder skills and a focus on delivery and building high performing, diverse teams.

Kym is the Director in the Office of the Secretary in the Department of Health and has worked in the Victorian Government for more than two decades. Kym has extensive experience in using storytelling to influence change at both personal and organisational levels.
