Overview
Almost all sectors of the economy face major disruption from climate transition and the physical impacts of climate change over the coming years. The projected impacts of climate change also cut across almost all areas of government responsibility. Yet, many organisations are still not engaging seriously with these risks, or positioning themselves to take advantage of potential opportunities.
This session will provide an introduction (or refresher) on the key concepts relating to the risk of climate change and how organisations are responding. Furthermore, what are the responsibilities and obligations of public sector organisations to tackle these issues? Join us for the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas on practical ways to embed climate change considerations, delivery and expectations that will ultimately improve resilience to climate change.
