State Budget Briefing 2020

25 Nov 2020Online

This year’s State Budget may be one like we have not seen for some time.

Overview

With the bushfires last summer and the impacts of COVID-19 and the need to set Victoria for a solid economic recovery, the Budget delivered on 24 November may be a “eye-watering” budget.

Be the first to hear directly from the Secretary of the Department of Treasury and Finance on the economic factors that have beset Victoria particularly through the pandemic, as well as key investments, trends and assumptions that have shaped this year’s State Budget.

Delivered the morning after the Budget is handed down by the Victorian Treasurer, IPAA Victoria’s annual State Budget Briefing is one of the best ways to understand the key elements of the budget.

David Martine PSM will deliver a keynote presentation on the 2020-21 budget outlining exclusive insights into the thinking behind how the budget was shaped and presents a deeper analysis than the mainstream media can provide.

Following his presentation, David will be quizzed by IPAA Victoria Board member Dean Yates who among other things is a former long-term Treasury official in Victoria, the Commonwealth and Tasmania.
