In Conversation with Jeremi Moule and Adam Fennessy PSM

Jeremi is the Secretary for the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet. Prior to this role, he was the Deputy Secretary, Governance Policy and Coordination at the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet, he was appointed to the position in August 2018.

Jeremi has held various executive positions in the Victorian and South Australian Public Services over a 17 year period, was the CEO of a registered training organisation and started his career as a journalist. He lives in Bendigo and has worked extensively in regional Victoria.

Adam Fennessy PSM is the Victorian Public Sector Commissioner. Adam has over 20 years of public sector experience at state and federal levels, including four years as Secretary (CEO) of the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning and prior to that the Department of Environment & Primary Industries.

Adam is a member of the Champions of Change Coalition, an IPAA Victoria Fellow and was awarded IPAA National Fellowship in November 2020. In 2018, he received a Public Service Medal for leadership in the Victorian public sector.

Jenny has been Secretary of the Department of Education and Training since March 2019 – leading the management and administration of 3 education and training portfolios with a total budget of around $16 billion, more than 4,000 corporate and regional office staff and a government school system with more than 1500 schools and 70,000 staff.

Jenny joined the Department in 2015, as Deputy Secretary, Infrastructure and Finance Services Group. In this role, she was responsible for the management and oversight of the Department’s financial, procurement and information technology services, along with strategic advice and planning for state budget processes, and infrastructure policy and delivery.

She has previously held a range of senior roles and positions in the Victorian Public Service, including at the Department of Treasury and Finance and the Department of Human Services
