Frank and Fair – Staying Impartial in the Public Sector

19 May 2022Online

Public trust is critical to the role of the Victorian public sector in delivering policies, programs and outcomes that affect all Victorians.

Overview

Public trust is critical to the role of the Victorian public sector in delivering policies, programs and outcomes that affect the lives of all Victorians.

The actions of a single public servant can significantly undermine the public’s trust. This is brought into sharper focus during an election year.

Listen in as the Victorian Public Sector Commissioner and Victorian Ombudsman detail how the work of public servants can be placed under the microscope, and how meeting our obligations as public servants can reduce the risk of any conflicts of interest and increase community confidence in our work. They will be joined by Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission CEO Marlo Baragwanath, who will facilitate the discussion.
