Overview
The career possibilities in government and the public sector are diverse, wide-ranging and endless.
In local government, you could be working in areas from youth services and arts and festivals to engineering and media. The roles available in state government are just as diverse where you could be working in developing and designing policy across various portfolio areas, supporting the delivery of key infrastructure projects or working to deliver crucial services to the community. In federal government, there are policy, project and support roles in all portfolio areas available across Australia and overseas.
In a collaboration with the Local Government Professionals (LGPro) Young Professionals Network (YPN), this event series will cover the key tips for getting started in and moving between and into different roles in government. We will showcase the endless possibilities that a career in government and the public sector offers.
