Campaigns in Government: Insights, evidence and expectations

29 Mar 2022Online

Explore the role of advertising and communications in driving the public agenda and best practice in creating campaigns.

Overview

Government campaigns have always faced intense scrutiny, none more so in recent times than the public health campaigns for COVID-19. Local government, state and federal departments continue to deliver critical public health messaging in addition to business-as-usual campaigns required to support government services.

Join the Communication Community of Practice and our keynote speaker Russel Howcroft (Gruen Transfer, ABC and 3AW breakfast host) and Genevieve Reynolds (co-founder Sayers Brand Momentum) as we explore the role of advertising and communications in driving the public agenda, best practice in creating campaigns and communication strategies, and the rising expectations of the public. Russel and Genevieve will also showcase a national campaign launched by the private sector to increase the rate of vaccination and demonstrate how and why it was effective.

The event will conclude with a panel discussion involving Russel, Genevieve and Fin Bird, Chief Communications Officer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet, as they explore the issues raised and answer questions from the audience.
