IPAA Victoria thanks our regional partners:
There are more than 200,000 people working in the Victorian public sector and many of them work in regional Victoria. To meet their needs, we will be delivering professional development programs, offering events that meet the particular needs of local public sector professionals and feeding regional perspectives into the activities of IPAA Victoria generally.
We’re delighted to acknowledge that we have been helped in this expansion by the support of our local partners: Geelong Chamber of Commerce, Bendigo City Council and Commerce Ballarat.
"I’m very conscious of the combination of opportunities and challenges faced by DELWP and other state and local government staff who, like me, live outside Melbourne. IPAA’s Regional Offices are way of connecting those staff with the discussions that are happening around the state, as well as meeting local training and development needs. I strongly support this initiative by IPAA Victoria and am looking forward to personally contributing to its success."
Adam Fennessy, Secretary, Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning
"Local government is the level of government closest to the community and we face many of the same challenges faced by public sector professionals working at State and Commonwealth levels. Having an IPAA office in Ballarat makes it easier to access professional development opportunities and means that training can be a way of bringing different levels of government together."
Anthony Schinck, CEO, Ballarat City Council
