Reconciliation Action Plan

Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

IPAA Victoria aspires to positively connect public sector people, knowledge and ideas, and supports Australia’s reconciliation journey. All our employees acknowledge and respect the culture and contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and recognise that true and lasting reconciliation improves prosperity for all Australians – including adding value to our business.

Our reconciliation journey and growing commitment to reconciliation

IPAA Victoria’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) documents our reconciliation journey and our growing commitment to reconciliation over the 2018-2020 period. Our first RAP was launched in 2016, and in 2018 we released our ‘Stretch RAP’ to reflect our higher-level objectives and renewed commitments that reflect our changing business environment. With the guidance of IPAA Victoria’s Aboriginal Advisory Committee, our third RAP is an ‘Innovate’ RAP, and was launched on 22 November 2022.

Promote awareness and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ culture and issues, in our organisation and among our members and stakeholders.

Foster relationships and links with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples working in and with the public sector.

Promote the participation and career development of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within the public sector.

Build productive and collaborative relationships with public sector agencies, local government, and community and private organisations to achieve reconciliation.
