Peer Plus Mentoring Program activities

Key points for participants:

  • Please continue completing your Mentoring Partnership Agreements and sending them through to Andrew – don’t worry about being late!

  • Explore the Peer Plus Mentoring Program resources library

  • Look out for announcements about Public Sector Week 2019 from 19 to 23 August. We are hoping to hold a catch-up between program participants at 1-2 PSW events!

Themes emerging from agreements

The most common themes in the partnership agreements so far have been:

  1. Presenting with confidence

  2. Developing networking skills

  3. Managing upwards to influence management and executives

Other common themes have included finding leadership opportunities, managing peers, developing knowledge of the public service, and progressing to more senior roles.

A reminder about Photovoice

Mentee participants can tell us the story of your mentoring experiences and be involved in an innovative evaluation!

Find the guide to participating in Photovoice here.

All you need to do at the moment is take photos about your experience – at a meeting, preparing for a meeting, a symbol of your experience to date. Be as creative as you want!

Upload your photos on Mentorloop to Andrew, or email them on abeechjones@vic.ipaa.org.au
