Inaugural Senior Executive IELP Alumni Dinner
On Wednesday 7 November, IPAA Victoria hosted our inaugural Senior Executive IELP Alumni Dinner with guest speaker and provocateur Serena Lillywhite, Chief Executive Officer of Transparency International Australia.
Serena reflected on the declining trust in government, and the implications of the ‘revolving door syndrome’ and ‘who has a seat at the table?’ on the integrity of policymaking. Serena also drew on her vast experience with integrity in the mining sector and international perspectives gained from her recent attendance at the 18th International Anti-Corruption Conference.
Building on the program experience – where participants hear from experts and reflect on the integrity moments of ‘wise heads’ – the alumni had the chance to engage in a guided discussion around some of the issues raised.
The Senior Executive IELP is IPAA Victoria’s new flagship program in the Integrity and Ethical Leadership Program (IELP) suite. In the program, a select group of senior leaders are immersed in a program over three months exploring the philosophical, systems and practical dimensions of ethics and integrity in a public administration context.
