Tanya focuses on promoting the UK’s technology strengths across the Indo-pacific and creating an enabling policy and regulatory environment for digital trade to thrive. As a career diplomat, Tanya has lived and worked in the UK, India, Ghana and Australia covering a range of issues including digital technology, trade policy, immigration and public affairs. Tanya’s grandparents belong to the Windrush generation who migrated to the UK from the Caribbean after the second world war. She was born in the UK and has Jamaican heritage.

Fred Alale is a public service senior professional with over 20 years policy, project management and system-wide improvement experience across the public and private sectors (including Big 4 Management Consulting – EY, KPMG & Deloitte) in Australia and the UK. He is currently working as part of Victorian government efforts to keep Victorian businesses compliant with the Public Health Officer Directions as a Director, Policy and Enforcement Review Office.

Fred is also active within the African Australian communities where he serves on a number of Boards including, Chair of the African Music and Cultural Festival and the Treasurer of Africa Day Australia Incorporated.

He is also a member of the Government’s Victorian African Communities Action Plan (VACAP) implementation committee.

Bruce is a former professional footballer who made his Socceroos’ debut in 2008. Bruce also represented clubs in several countries including, Turkey, China, South Korea and Indonesia, and was most recently the Adelaide United Football Club’s Director of Football.

Bruce is currently the CEO of the Committee for Adelaide and Deputy Chair of the West Beach Trust. He also sits on the boards of the South Australian Multicultural Commission and the Australia Day Council of South Australia. Bruce is also a Football Analyst on Network 10 and Paramount Plus and an Ambassador for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Charmaine is an award-winning Institutional Banker with 10 years of experience in the Banking industry. She is also the President of the non-profit youth organisation Incubate Foundation, the Professional Development Director for the FINSIA Young Finance Professionals VIC/TAS Committee and sits on a public advisory board that advises the Victorian State Government. Currently, Charmaine is a participant of the Judith Neilson Institute x Media Diversity Australia 2022 Community Voices program. Within the community, Charmaine has been a co-architect of the #AfricanGangs movement, the African Australian Communities Task Force with Victoria Police and one of the inaugural committee members of Watu Australia. She is also the Creative Director and Host of the new podcast series Can We Talk About It?!
