From setting up a watertight contract, to managing its performance and maintaining supplier relationships, this course offers an end-to-end guide to contractual success.
Contract management is often something that is thrown at you, at the last minute, without much explanation or advice. No training in how you monitor the supplier’s performance. No guidance on how to avoid the biggest traps. But thanks to IPAA Victoria and the contract management experts at Grosvenor Management Consulting (Grosvenor), those days are over. This comprehensive course offers a practical one-day introduction to the possibilities and pitfalls of contract management – from the critical early steps of preparation and implementation, through performance management, to the all-important science of keeping suppliers onside.
What will you learn?
This full-day course takes participants through every stage and aspect of contract management – from setting up a new contract and embarking on its management, to legal obligations (and traps to avoid), performance management, KPI formulation, dispute resolution, and contract extensions.
By the end of the course, you will be able to:
drive real value for your organisation through effective end-to-end contract management
learn what tools, techniques and methods are appropriate to manage supplier performance, maintain relationships, and navigate ‘the tricky bits’
unlock the potential of your contract through the power of performance management, supplier relationship management, and continuous improvement.
What should you expect?
The course will be delivered through facilitated presentations and discussions, using case studies from the group to explore real-life examples and apply the lessons learned.
