Its ability to work differently and better and to develop new ideas is central to it better delivering outcomes to the community. But, just how are people who work in the public sector able to navigate their way through the current systems to ensure best outcomes are achieved?
Some argue there is currently a lack of clarity (and rules) around collaboration – how to connect up pieces of work/communities/priorities/data and not work in silos. How does an individual public sector professional become one with the public sector at an individual level? How do public sector professionals navigate this at a practical level and what needs to change in the structural/procedural/cultural ways we work to achieve this?
This session highlights innovation within the Victorian public sector with an increased focus on collaboration, improved service delivery and better outcomes for citizens. The ability of the public sector to adopt or develop new ideas in order to drive increased efficiency or better community outcomes is seen as being central to its long-term future success.
