HOSTED BY ELAINE CARBINES, CEO G21 - GEELONG REGION ALLIANCE AND IPAA VICTORIA BOARD MEMBER.
Join us in Geelong to watch the live broadcast of IPAA Victoria’s State Budget Briefing Breakfast, streamed directly from Melbourne.
The State Budget provides projections for Government revenue and expenditure for the following year, and outlines services to be delivered.
Delivered the morning after the Victorian Treasurer delivers the 2019-20 State Budget, IPAA Victoria’s annual State Budget Briefing Breakfast is one of the best ways for you to learn about the most important Victorian government policy document for 2019-20.
Where will the key investments be made?
What are the economic factors at play?
What are the trends and assumptions that are shaping the future of Victoria?
Our Melbourne event, live streamed to Geelong, features David Martine PSM, Secretary of the Department of Treasury and Finance who will deliver a keynote presentation of the 2019-20 budget - outlining exclusive insights into this year’s budget. You’ll hear first-hand how the budget was shaped, and get a first-look deeper analysis than the mainstream media can provide.
There’ll be an additional opportunity to hear a panel discussion with David Martine, Grattan Institute’s CEO John Daley, and widely respected former public sector leader Fran Thorn. They’ll discuss what the budget means from a macro view, from a service delivery and public service perspective.
The panel discussion will be facilitated by respected ABC journalist Patricia Karvelas. The event will be hosted by VMIA CEO Colin Radford.
Geelong audience members will be able to ask questions to our panel in Melbourne in real-time via Slido.com.
