Senator Faulkner is frank and fearless at IPAA seminar

Addressing the topic The Public Service: Tradition and Renewal, Senator Faulkner made good use of the Chatham House Rule to engage in a ‘frank and fearless' appraisal of accountability and scrutiny in both government and the public service.

Speaking particularly from his experiences in the Senate Estimates Committees, the Senator stressed the need to honour the effective traditions of Australia's Westminster-style sytem, whilst engaging in the necessary modernizing processes of vigilant review and renewal.
