Countdown to Congress 2012 starts

The IPAA 2012 International Congress on public administration is now less than a year away.

Running from 18-20 September 2012, the Congress will bring together more than 1000 administrators from around Australia and the South Asia-Pacific region, in one of the biggest gatherings of public administrators ever held in Australia.

Many of Australia’s senior public servants and leading thinkers have already agreed to present and the Congress will take a “Festival Of Ideas” approach, inviting big thinkers to present a big idea that they think public administrators need to be thinking about.

The Congress will also explore the unique world of public administration in subjects ranging from “A History of Public Administration in Ten Objects” to “Public Administrators On The Silver Screen”. There will in depth sessions on a huge variety of subjects, including everything from public administration in our region to balancing the competing demands for secrecy and transparency.

Plus a curated innovation-in-government expo, book clubs, photographic exhibitions, a totally new approach to the tired old conference dinner experience and more...

So mark the date in your diary, add it to your professional development goals for 2012, and visit www.ipaa2012.org.au to stay in touch.
