At the Institute, you are among peers who lead and shape public administration. |

Personal Members help us to build a high achieving public sector as facilitators, presenters, reviewers and ambassadors of best practice public administration. Personal Members have the right to use the post nominal MIPPA (Member of the Institute of Public Administration Australia). IPAA Fellows are distinguished members who have been honoured by the Institute for their major contribution to the public sector and are generally selected from longstanding personal members.
Membership benefits include:

- Invitations to exclusive Member-only events
- Quarterly publications: the peer review journal, Australian Journal of Public Administration - AJPA and the practitioner magazine, Public Administration TODAY, printed copies and online access
- For those under 36 years, free participation in our tailored YIPAA program for young public sector professionals, including the opportunity to be selected for our Peer-Plus Mentoring program
- Involvement in the governance of the Institute: the right to stand for, and vote for the IPAA Board, invitations to be on standing and ad hoc IPAA Committees and involvement in the AGM
