IPAA International Women's Day Gala Dinner- 8 Mar 2012
8 Mar 2012
It is with great pleasure that IPAA Victoria invites you to join us for our International Women's Day Gala Dinner Celebration.
In 2012 we celebrate the achievements of women working within the public sector. In Victoria, women occupy many of the highest positions in important public bodies, help to deliver vital community services and infrastructure and are powerful advocates for change and equality.
Our theme “ Inspire” will bring together the stories of inspirational women who have taken on challenges within Australia and overseas.
An evening of acknowledgement and celebration amongst peers.

In 2005, Rachael led a twelve month expedition to Davis Station in Antarctica becoming the second female ever to lead a team to lead the Australian National Antarctic Research Expedition. Rachael led a small community of very diverse people into total isolation. The intensity of the leadership role, where the leader is on duty all day, every day for twelve months without respite gave Rachael the opportunity to consolidate her existing abilities and learn a few new tricks along the way. It was a ‘leadership laboratory’ in the most extreme and hostile environment on Earth.
